Archaeologists have discovered the upper segment of an enormous statue featuring the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses II. The statue has been unearthed in the vicinity of the ancient city of Hermopolis (modern-day el-Ashmunein), approximately 155 miles (250 kilometers) south of Cairo.
