the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) says it works with eight international classification societies to survey, inspect and ensure Singapore-flag vessels comply with all applicable statutory requirements. The MPA adds that it has extended support to the US Coast Guard and local authorities and is working with ship management company Synergy Marine to salvage the vessel.
