Sunak said 'nothing has changed' since earlier this year when he said his 'working assumption' is that the next election will be in the second half of this year. There had been rumours in the build up to Wednesday's budget that Mr Sunak could be warming towards the idea of going to the country in a couple of months. The PM has poured further cold water on suggestions of a May election.
