John Swinney is expected to announce his bid to be the next leader of the SNP this morning. The former deputy first minister of Scotland will make a statement in Edinburgh at 10.30am as the race to replace Humza Yousaf heats up. It is not yet known whether Kate Forbes will enter the leadership race.
