Jeremy Hunt hinted at further cuts to National Insurance as he hailed a “decisive” fall in inflation today. Official data showed inflation had fallen from 4% in January to 3.4% in February. The Chancellor said inflation is now due to return to the Bank of England’s target of 2% “within months”.
