Russia is aiming to capture the eastern Ukrainian town of Chasiv Yar at all costs. The town sits in Ukraine's Donetsk region, less than 10km west of Bakhmut. Russian forces have been pushing forward in eastern Ukraine following capture of Avdiivka in February.
