Samsung Electronics has been negotiating over the use of Datang’s 4G and 5G international standard patents since 2020. The Munich District Court ruled on April 12 that LTE-supporting mobile devices sold by Samsung in Germany infringed on Datang Group’s German patent. This patent facilitates seamless connections between base stations and smartphones while walking or driving.
