The European Parliament has approved the world’s first comprehensive regulations for the development and use of artificial intelligence. The AI Act serves to “protect fundamental rights, democracy, the rule of law, and environmental sustainability from high-risk AI” the EU Parliament said in a statement on Wednesday.
