Equatic has announced the construction of a large-scale demonstration plant for carbon capture in Singapore via a novel process of electrolysing seawater without producing chlorine. Equatic will begin operating with the capability to capture 1 metric tonne of CO2 per day in the summer of 2024 before being ramped up to ultimately be capable of removing 10 metric tonnes per day. This will put Equatic among the world’s largest carbon dioxide removal facilities in the world.
