Fairview Elementary School is Red Deer Public Schools’ designated elementary school for newcomers. A total of 242 students are enrolled and half are newcomer from 19 different countries and speak 24 different languages. The grant will provide funding to upgrade the school’s aging computers, assist in developing a makerspace, and upgrade the technology in its library which will be renovated this summer.
