Sergeant H. Williams and Deputy D. Pillmon were driving in the area of Lewiston. When they turned on their emergency lights to stop the vehicle, the driver did not stop and drove off, going more than 100 mph. Once the vehicle crossed into Hertford County, The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was able to successfully spike strip the vehicle.
