The Houston Texans have locked in new running back Joe Mixon with a three-year, $27 million contract extension. Mixon was traded from the Bengals for a seventh-round pick (No. 224) Cincinnati planned to release him going into the final year of his contract. He was due $5.75 million, including a $3 million roster bonus this Sunday.
