Optimum Performance Sports is the sports medicine division of Lutheran Health Network. April is National Youth Sports Safety Month, so it’s the perfect time to bring some safety awareness to the ball games, track events, being in the heat, overtraining, nutrition, and playing fields at school and in our communities. Decreasing performance, sleep disturbances, fatigue, mood changes, and frequent injuries/illnesses are all signs of overtraining.
