Hibbett Sports announced a deal to be acquired by JD Sports Fashion PLC. Under the terms of the deal, the Birmingham-based sports apparel and equipment retailer’s outstanding shares sold to JD Sport for $87.50 per share in cash for an aggregate enterprise value of approximately $1.1 billion. The transaction is expected to be closed in the second half of 2024.
