The Tru 140S concept debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in 2012. It had a working turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that made somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 horsepower and up to 40 miles per gallon on the highway. At its peak, more than 20,000 people visited the website per day.
