Colonial Williamsburg Foundation withdrew a request to rezone land near its visitor center. The Historic Triangle Recreational Facilities Authority had been scheduled to consider the request on Wednesday. HTRFA is the body created to implement construction and opening of a regional indoor sports facility. Some critics were urging policymakers to pump the brakes because of language within the proposed zoning change.
