Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy announced Thursday that he has raised $1.5 million for the family of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller. The 31-year-old cop was shot and killed when a routine traffic stop in Queens turned into a shootout with alleged career criminal Guy Rivera, 34, on Monday night. Diller leaves behind his wife, Stephanie, and baby Ryan.
