Michelle Sims is a PhD candidate in Environmental Contamination and Microbial Ecotoxicology at Flinders University in Australia. She is bridging that gap through her involvement in an innovative project – Floods of Fire. Sims’ research looks at the effect of PFAS on the microbial life that lives in soils, an unusual topic to bring to an arts festival.
