An international team of 279 scientists has crafted the most comprehensive DNA tree of life for flowering plants. This is a pivotal step towards understanding their complex evolutionary history and their current ecological dominance. The research collaboration, led by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, included significant contributions from the University of Michigan among others.
