Severe Weather Awareness Day will be held at the Science Spectrum & OMNI Theater on Saturday, Mar. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will include hands-on weather experiments for kids of all ages, live weather science demonstrations with electricity and lightning simulators. Storm Chasing and Emergency response vehicles will be on-site and available for all to see. The National Weather Service (NWS) office that serves the South Plains area will also be in attendance
