Nikon Group has set a new long-term target of achieving zero greenhouse gas emissions*1 throughout the value chain following SBT initiative. In addition, the GHG emissions reduction targets for FY 2030 (Near-Term Targets) have been re-certified as the “1.5 degrees Celsius target”. The SBT Initiative is an initiative jointly established in 2015 by the United Nations Global Compact, WRI (World Resources Institute), and others to encourage companies to set science-based GHG reduction targets.
