Nasa 's OSIRIS-REx mission has made a groundbreaking discovery with the sample it collected from the asteroid Bennu. The initial studies of the 4.5-billion-year-old sample have revealed the presence of carbon and water, suggesting the building blocks of life on Earth might be found in this extraterrestrial rock.
