Developing a consistent mid-level ontology can significantly enhance the interoperability of semantic data, extending well beyond the domain of MSE. Our research has established a sound basis for creating and expanding explicit knowledge representations in this field. This is facilitated by the interconnected concepts within the PMDco, which serve as bridges between the TTO and PGO entities. In general, reasoning, through the application of logical rules of ontologies, opens up new avenues for insight.
