Ward Melville High School in East Setauket has won first place at the Long Island Regional Science Bowl. The team consisting of Harry Gao, Michael Melikyan, Sean Skinner, Rithik Sogal and Anna Xing bested 29 others to take the top spot among high school groups in the “Jeopardy!”-style competition. It was held in February at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
