Rhodamine B is a bright pink artificial food colouring agent often added to cotton candy. Due to its colour, the agent is commonly known as Brilliant Pink B. However, recent evidence has indicated that the agent could potentially have carcinogenic properties. Karnataka has issued a ban on the use of the potentially toxic agent.
