Students from nearly 50 middle and high schools competed at the Indiana Science Olympiad state tournament. That included 10 middle schools and six high schools from Northwest Indiana. Christian Ashford, 14, from St. Patrick School in Chesterton, competed in wind power, air trajectory, fossils, and ecology.
