Emory chemist Douglas Mulford is a popular mainstay of the Atlanta Science Festival and public outreach year-round. Participants can join a crash course on the basics of AI, create a mini herbarium of medicinal plants, go into the field with researchers studying microplastic pollution in a stream, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the latest advances in health care technology and even get a taste of the science of cheese making.
