Message from the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health Each year on March 30th, we recognize World Bipolar Day. This is a day for everyone to learn more about bipolar disorder, and how we can better understand and support the people in our lives affected by this illness. Approximately 3% of people in Canada will experience bipolar disorders in their lifetime. The Government of Canada is deeply committed to removing barriers caused by stigma.
