Maryam Maroof Arvin was a master’s degree student at a private university in Kabul in December 2022 when the Taliban barred women from universities. She dreamed of becoming a politician to raise the voices for Afghan women. The Taliban have steadily imposed repressive measures against women in Afghanistan.
