A lump was found by Dr Liam Cavanagh as they enjoyed a romantic liaison. After further tests, it was revealed Chas had cancer like her late mum Faith Dingle. Chas returned to Emmerdale and was seen revealing to her family the cause of her cancer was the BRCA2 gene and that her brothers and son could have it too.
