The South Heartland Public Health District presented awards to people across the region on Wednesday. Three awards were given in person to community members while every school nurse in the district will be receiving the honor later in the month. The health department said the awards were meant to inspire and encourage those who have dedicated their lives to helping encourage people to be healthy.
