Participants In the fifth wave of the SHARE study conducted in 2013, a total of 59,421 individuals from 13 selected European countries were surveyed, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Slovenia, Spain, Estonia, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. To address these significant differences, probably because the analyzed sample of participants was younger than that of non-participants, a random selection of non participant was performed.
