FM: What do you think is the biggest ethical issue that neuroscientists should be paying attention to right now? FM: I was hired, and I had the temperament, to modernize it. I was the director of the National Institute of Mental Health from 1996 to 2001, and then served as Harvard Provost from 2001 to 2011.
