The health care provider announced last week that it would merge with Northwell Health. In a joint announcement Feb. 28, both nonprofit hospitals said the merger would help “form a new integrated regional health system” between New York and Connecticut. Patients of the combined hospital systems will have access to health care in Connecticut, the lower and mid-Hudson Valley, New York City and Long Island.
