N.C. Rep. Wayne Sasser has been awarded the 2024 Public Health Legislator of the Year Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement and promotion of public health in North Carolina. He was nominated last fall by Health and Human Services Director David Jenkins.
