Mobile County District Judge Jennifer Wright sat on the bench recently, going through cases ranging from drug possession to trespassing. "I’ve been told you’re doing well," the judge said to one defendant who has been charged with a misdemeanor drug offense. Wright said the mental health court is not for defendants with such significant problems that their competency is in question or who might have an insanity defense.
