Job Flexibility and Security Promote Better Mental Health

Boston University School of Public Health

Employment is a recognized determinant of health, and different aspects of a job can be beneficial or deleterious to mental health. This study is the first nationally representative analysis of these job characteristics and their effects on employee mental health, work absences, and mental healthcare use.
