In recent years, there has been evidence indicating that nanoplastics are capable of entering breast milk, the placenta and blood plasma, as well as accumulating inside cells. However, there was a lack of analysis that pointed to this link in humans. This changed this week after the publication of an article in The New England Journal of Medicine.
