Gautier City Council Objects to a Possible Tax Break for a Cardiac ASC

The Gautier City Council is considering using Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funds to build the infrastructure for Legacy Park, a $48,250,000 development that would include residential, commercial, event, hotel, and medical space. The medical space would be a Cardiac Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) According to the Jackson County Board of Supervisors, the ASC would be connected to a for-profit health system — and ultimately have a negative financial impact on SRHS.
