Florida is one of 10 states that has chosen not to accept federal dollars to expand Medicaid eligibility to low-income, childless adults. Some Democrats pushed to address this by making Medicaid expansion part of the Live Healthy package. The bill also reduces barriers for psychologists and psychiatric nurses to work in Baker Act facilities.
