Faith-Based Nursing in the NHS

Nursing Times

Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) data shows over 452,641 registered nursing professionals across the UK identify as Christian, 17,389 as Muslim, 13,422 as Hindu, 2,385 as Sikh, 3,983 as Jewish. This has driven some nurses to call for spiritual care to be given greater weight in practice. The Association of South Asian Midwives (ASAM) is a platform for both the South Asian midwifery workforce and the birthing community.
