The U.S. Department of Education announced applications are open for the School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) and the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration (MHSP) grant competitions. The SBMH program provides competitive grants to high-need local education agencies to hire and increase the number of credentialed school-based mental health service providers. Applications are due on April 30, 2024.
