As an homage to Women’s History Month, let’s celebrate some of those changes that helped women entrepreneurs advance to where they are today. Married women’s Property Acts: 1839 to early 20th century New regulations for married women addressed the legal constraints put on women to own and control their finances by themselves. Before this time, their identity was tied to their husband when it came to legal or economic matters. The new regulations allowed married women to engage in business transactions and enter into contracts without their husbands.
