Prudential reported a 43 per cent rise in new business profit to US$3.1 billion (S$4.2 billion) for the financial year ending in December 2023, compared with US$2.2 billion a year earlier. On a constant exchange rate basis, the new business profits would be up 45 per cent. This was led by the Hong Kong market, in particular after the reopening of the border between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
