Meridian Energy issued new Zealand Aluminium Smelters Limited (NZAS) with a demand response cessation notice under the NZAS Demand Response Agreement 2023-2024. This will see the demand response period end sooner than what was indicated in the original demand response notice. As a result, contract quantity under the electricity agreement will reduce by 10 MWh per half hour.
