League of Legends Esports (LoL esports) is introducing a new business model to major leagues leagues LCS, LEC, and LCK. This model is “closer to the one we’ve successfully implemented with the Valorant Champions Tour” in terms of revenues driven by in-game digital items, according to John Needham. A Global Revenue Pool (GRP) distributes digital revenue among teams based on tiers, performance, and fan engagement.
