Westport/Belmullet Municipal District has unanimously approved a motion granting free car parking permits to eligible business owners in the town center . This initiative, championed by Independent councillor Christy Hyland, aims to alleviate the financial pressures faced by businesses amidst rising costs . The permits will be available for the blue zone and three major town car parks on an annual basis .
