Bankwest is leaving the State with a hole for many people who value face-to-face banking contact. Many have fond memories of attending the bank to get their money long before ATMs became the norm. With the acquisition of Bankwest by Commonwealth Bank, its future was under a cloud. Alongside this decision, we’ve also learned the city’s HBF branch will close.
