Air India is likely to lay off around 200 employees as part of a larger reorganisation of the Tata Group's aviation business. According to Air India, less than 1 percent of its staff will be laid off as they chose not to participate in voluntary retirement plans. Air India Express employs over 6,200 people, but has more than 18,500 staff.
