Seven Nation Army was an indie hit when it was first released on 17th February 2003. The single, which was the opening track on the band's fourth studio album, Elephant, peaked at number seven in the UK singles chart. It has the effect of a bass line, but it was actually written on guitar and tuned down an octave.
